Nexon finally releases new DNF Duel trailer
Almost a year since Nexon first announced the game, the company has finally released a new DNF Duel trailer, showcasing more gameplay of the Dungeon Fighter Online spinoff fighter.
This new look at DNF Duel, like the previous announcement teaser trailer, focuses solely on gameplay and cinematics for the characters/classes Berserker, Inquisitor, Striker, Grappler and Ranger. The video description confirms that there will be more characters in the game.
Despite the fact that it’s been so long since we last saw the spin-off of the popular Dungeon Fighter Online MMORPG, there’s very little new information to go on.
That said, the trailer does showcase a more polished fighting game with some really flashy pre-battle introductions and supers, as well as the overall gameplay.
One noticeable difference between this trailer and the 2020 trailer is that the apparent special cancel system DNF Duel appears to use now has two different flashes between red and yellow, though we don’t know what that means.
ArcSys is working on the new fighter alongside Neople and Eighting, the same team that worked on the Bloody Roar series and Marvel vs. Capcom 3. (Read: Riot’s “Project L” is an assist-based League of Legends fighting game similar to Marvel vs. Capcom)
Ryosuke Kodani, the Dragon Ball FighterZ lead planner, was previously revealed to be the director of DNF Duel, though it’s unclear which team within ArcSys is working on the project and how much heavy lifting they’re doing.
There is currently no information on the game’s release date or target platforms.
