Sasha Grey to host Cyberpunk 2077’s community radio station

Sasha Grey will be hosting Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty‘s new community radio station. The former adult actress announced her involvement with the upcoming expansion via a tweet on Saturday.

The tweet itself quoted another tweet from the official Cyberpunk 2077 account that called for musicians to submit their music for the upcoming community radio station. It also featured a sample of Grey voicing the station’s DJ, Ash.

Grey originally made a name for herself as an adult actress, winning multiple industry awards, before moving on to mainstream film and TV. She made her feature film debut as the lead in Steven Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience. Modern audiences may remember seeing her in thrillers such as Would You Rather and The Scribbler.

Meanwhile, gamers may be familiar with her as the voice of Viola DeWynter from Saints Row: The Third and its Gat Out of Hell expansion.

Now, Sasha Grey will be lending her voice to Cyberpunk 2077‘s Phantom Liberty expansion as Ash, DJ of “89.7 Growl FM.” The station itself is set to feature music submitted by the games community. (Read: Cyberpunk 2077 sequel and more Witcher games announced by CD Projekt Red)

To join, musicians and producers simply need to create a track inspired by the video on the official site. The song can be in any musical style, as long as it is between 2-3 minutes long, and can be in English, Spanish, Japanese or Chinese.

Submitted tracks, however, cannot sample any copyright-protected music and cannot copy lyrics or lines from other songs or works of fiction verbatim. Creators must also have permission to use any vocals included in the track. Finally, these must not include any racist, xenophobic, offensive, defamatory or illegal content.

Winning entries will be announced by January 31, 2023 at the latest. In addition to getting their song in the game, winners will also get $3,000 as well as some Cyberpunk 2077 gear.

Musicians and producers interested in submitting their work have until November 20, 2022, to do so.
