Genshin Impact gifts Travelers new skins in upcoming patch

Christmas is still around the corner for Travelers of the Genshin Impact world. The RPG mobile gaming icon has recently revealed several new character skins or outfits for its heroes on top of its announcement of a brand new patch.

As announced on the game’s blog page last Monday, the new patch 2.4 will arrive on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2022. It includes the release of new Genshin Impact character skins from two of Liyue region’s characters.

Announced first, Electro elemental Keqing will finally have a new look with the “Opulent Splendor” skin.

The Genshin Impact skin, which will serve as her Formal Outfit, displays navy blue threads and a black dress under her royal blue feathered garment, veering away from the classic violet garment on top of a sky blue corset worn by the swordsman in her Piercing Thunderbolt outfit. “Enjoy a limited-time discount when you purchase “Opulent Splendor” between the start of the Version 2.4 update and 2022/02/14 03:59!” the blog said.

“During the discount period, the price of the outfit is 1,350 Genesis Crystals. The price will revert to 1,680 Genesis Crystals after the limited-time discount ends. The outfit can only be purchased once.”

Meanwhile, another Genshin Impact character will be blessed with a new outfit; but this time, Travelers will have the opportunity to acquire it for free.

Released through the Fleeting Colors in Flight Event, Geo elemental Ningguang will also have her Formal Outfit when the upcoming Genshin Impact patch commences.

The new Genshin Impact skin displays a mixture of light and dark blue gown to go with her signature silver hair, and will be called “Orchid’s Evening Gown”. Her traditional gold and white from her Gold Leaf and Pearly Jade outfit are nowhere to be seen except for her gold crystal necklace and gold amulet.

However, the new skin for the catalyst-carrying character will not require Crystals for it to be acquired just yet. Instead, players will need to accomplish tasks from the Fleeting Colors in Flight event first to obtain the outfit for a limited-time

The Genshin Impact skin will be available in the shop for 1,680 Genesis Crystals once the event concludes.

This upcoming outfit for the two Liyue characters will be Genshin Impact‘s first skins to be added since the “Midsummer Island Adventure” update last May. The update saw the release of the Mondstadt region’s very own Barbara and Jean’s beach-themed outfits.

Aside from the two skins, Genshin Impact patch 2.4 also promises to introduce two new heroes, Shenhe and Yun Jin. It will also add the region of Enkanomiya to Inazuma, along with a new boss for players to challenge among other updates.
